Mach Veg Box is an innovative Veg Cooperative and Veg Box Scheme, enabling people in and around Machynlleth to pick up a weeks’ worth of Fresh and Local Veg in one go, while also giving growers a fair price for their produce.
But did you know, the locally-generated power at Bro Dyfi Community Renewables helps us get more veg into households in the valley?
Profits from wind power at BDCR are put into projects that directly benefit our community, like our locally grown veg with lots of nutrients, low food miles and no artificial chemicals. Mach Veg Box has a BDCR grant to offer subsidised boxes (£5 off) to households who need a little help financially, supporting the needs of right now and promoting food resilience in Bro Dyfi.

‘I was between jobs and really needed to watch my budget. Picking up my veg box and being creative with pantry staples meant I ate very well and knew what I was spending on food each week. And no two weeks were ever the same as far as ingredients– and I saved petrol not having to drive out to the supermarkets. Diolch yn fawr Mach Veg Box!’
